Trip 2 – Operative leaders: Working with area-specific life-saving rules

On trip 2, the management team will continue to work on area-specific life-saving rules. The aim is to enable the extended leadership team, as well as main safety delegate, subject specialists in crane and lifting, process and electrical, and relevant personnel from D&W, to understand and apply the area-specific life-saving rules in their work. The OIM is responsible for implementation. The leadership team will also conduct a self-evaluation, which will be repeated throughout the year to monitor progress in the areas we are working to improve.

1)Watch the film. 2) Talk through the one-pagers with area-specific life-saving rules for each subject area. 3. Discuss the reflection questions to build common understanding. 4) The leadership team completes the self-evaluation.

Film: Area-specific life-saving rules

Most serious incidents involving risk of loss of life and serious injury occur in the areas of crane and lifting, electrical and process. In this film, we take a closer look at the area-specific life-saving rules.

One-pagers for area-specific life-saving rules

Present the area-specific life-saving rules for each subject area using the one-pagers (you can open and download these below) in the extended leadership team, including also the main safety delegate, subject specialists in crane and lifting, process and electrical, and relevant personnel from D&W. Feel free to refer to the e-learning course, which is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the area-specific life-saving rules (currently in Norwegian). The first step is to build a common understanding among the extended leadership team and other key roles. In the next quarter, we will work more on putting this into practice.
