Presentation of preliminary internal investigation of the Heimdal accident

28.11.2019 there was a serious work accident at the Heimdal platform in the North Sea. Two young people were seriously inured. The accident has been investigated internally in Equinor. The police and the Petroleum Safety Authority are still working on their investigations.

This presentation gives the results from the preliminary internal investigation report, which will be updated when the police has finalized their technical investigations. Actions have been identified related to design of equipment, maintenance, training and work processes. The intention of this presentation is to create awareness about the risk potential, increase knowledge and form a basis for implementation of actions to control the risk.
